Mike, Sorry I didn't respond earlier. My father is a Physician who is currently treating a number of patients for MPB. Because of this I think I'm fairly qualified to remark on this subject. I've talked with him extensively about finasteride (propecia) and I have actually been taking it for approximately 10 months now. I think its unlikely that you will have more shedding because it is unusual for this phase to last more than a month or two. I'm sure you've already shed the bulk of these hairs. As far as growing your already shed hairs back, in my experience I didn't start to notice any regrowth at all until 8 months into treatment!! So there was about a 4-5 month window in there where I wasn't seeing any regrowth at all after shedding a ton of hair. At this point, I was just about ready to give up , when my patience finnally paid off after 9 months of HELL!! Anyway since I've started seeing regrowth, I have continued to improve very drastically and quickly. I almost have all my hair back now and its only been two months since i noticed any regrowth at all. So, anyway I still think the odds are in your favor. It's obvious you are a responder the drug, so now all you need is a little patience, and belief that its only a matter of time until the real upside of treatment begins to take place. Good luck!
