I have never had an actual bald spot on the top of my head.. but over the last 3 years I've noticed some thinning. At the same time my hair in the front never seemed to be all that much of a problem but since using Propecia I have an amazing number of hairs that I can see growing (approx. 1/2 inch in length) along my hairline. The (not so bald) but thinning area on the top of my head is NOT completely full.... but there is a significant difference. It's not dreaming... wishful thinking... or illusion. I'm sorry that you have had nothing but major side effects and accelerated hairloss John. Why don't you stop using Propecia? Mike... I am still shedding. Some days more than others but not in any kind of a cycle. Like I said before, 3 months ago I did have a thin area on the top of my head and there is definite improvement. Certain people take differently to the finasteride as they say in all of their advertising and promotional material. "You may need to take PROPECIA daily for 3 months or more before you see a benefit. If PROPECIA has not worked for you within 12 months, further treatment is unlikely to be of benefit.
