Mike, I can understand your fears about restarting Propecia and what effects it may have on you. However, as far as shedding goes you probably won't experience this again or at least not anywhere near the amount you already have. The hairs that were shed while you were on propecia were hairs that were more or less ready to fall out. Its just that it happened all at once due to the follicles responding to its new DHT free environment. THis of course was ultimitely the result of finasterides ability to inhibit DHT's production in the body. So the hairs that were shed during that phase of treament were actually preparing for newer, healthier growth cycles. I would personally suggest to you that you restart propecia and not worry too much about shedding again, because you have surely, at least for the most part, already moved beyond this stage. Furthermore, it is because of the production of excess sebum on your scalp and the shedding of hairs that you know you are a responder the the drug! Remember, Propecia works for 83% of men, and if what you have written is accurate than you are definitely one of them.
