One additional comment: I also noticed increase scalp oilyness or "sebum" about the time of my bout with shedding. It's been about three months since I quit Propecia and the excess shedding has stopped, but the lost hair doesn't seem to be regrowing, nor has the extra sebum gone away. Possible conclusion: stop using Propecia during the excess sebum/shedding phase and you may never recover the shed hair. I hope this is not the case, but it's food for thought. Unfortunately, now I'm scared to try Propecia again cause I don't know if I can face another round of shedding, and the people here who've said they kept shedding for a year have scared the crap out of me!
