Be careful, after about 18 months or so, i had a noticeable increase in hairloss especially at the top. I had pretty decent hair growth within the first yr or so. Merck studies even admit that hair count starts to decrease after the 1st yr of increased hair growth and continues to decrease into the 2nd yr. It also caused alopecia areata which is a sudden occurance of very small or even med-size patches of smooth bald spots throughout the scalp. I also did research on how drugs can cause alopecia areata. I am off of it after or 2 yrs of usage. My point is that you may want to consider your continued use of this drug and consider B-6, green tea or zinc, and maybe saw palmetto as a means of reducing the DHT reduction.

I'm having the exact same experience as Andre. I have had great results with Propecia for about 4 months before going into a phase of massive shedding which basically return my hair to it's starting thickness and condition. Now, the hairloss seems to have stopped and I think I'm growing the hair back once again. The shedding is lame, but if I keep growing the hair back I think the product is definitely worth using.

Propecia has did the same thing to me and i was using it for over 2 years. Hair on my lower back and sides have diffused thinning now, and I even have a case of alopecia areata, which is sudden occurances of small bald patches. I also had completely bald spots on both legs at the lower chin in the exact same spot.
